How can I get to A-KON if I don’t want to drive?

The DFW area has got enough travel options that you can avoid the driving and parking hassles entirely. Here are your choices below!

The DART

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit services will get you there by train or bus! The light rail services lead directly to the Irving Convention Center via the Orange Line, and there are bus stops at the convention center; most stops throughout the Las Colinas area go right to us!

The APT

The Las Colinas Area Personal Transit system, or APT, is a circular route around the area, makes four stops, and brings you to all of the hot spots in Los Colinas. And, best of all, it’s free!

All you need to do is hit up the DART Orange Line light rail from the Irving Convention Center and transfer at the Las Colinas Urban Center Station. From there, have fun!

Hotel Shuttles

Many local hotels offer shuttle services that go right to the Irving Convention Center. Check with the place you’re staying at when you book your hotel for A-KON!

Ride Sharing & Taxis

You got Uber, Lyft, and Dallas-local taxi services, all available and all widely used throughout the entire Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex! You all got smartphones, right?

Airports & Directions

Dallas Love Field (DAL) and Dallas/Fort Worth International (DFW) are the closest airports if you are flying in. 

The Irving Convention Center has written some helpful directions on how to drive to the event from each airport which you can view directly on their website or below: 

From DFW International Airport to the Irving Convention Center

• Exit DFW Airport using the North exit
• Proceed and take HWY 114 East (John Carpenter Freeway)
• Exit O'Connor Boulevard
• Turn left on O'Connor Boulevard
• Pass under HWY 114 and then turn left on Las Colinas Boulevard
• The Convention Center will be on your left

From Love Field Airport to the Irving Convention Center

• Exit Love Field Airport and turn right onto Mockingbird Lane
• Pass under Harry Hines Blvd and I-35 and turn right onto HWY 183 West
• Proceed and merge onto HWY 114 West
• Exit O'Connor Boulevard
• Turn right on O'Connor Boulevard
• Turn left on Las Colinas Boulevard
• The Convention Center will be on your left
